Gary Coe, Shiawassee County

3:34 pm

Independent Editor,

Gary Holzhausen is out and about helping others place their signs. He is seeking reelection to the Shiawassee County Commission on Tuesday, Nov. 3. Gary has faithfully represented Caledonia Pct., Hazelton, New Haven and Venice Pct. 1 townships and the city of Corunna for several years.

Gary is widely known and respected in the county as a result of his performance on the commission board, servicing his district and the county. In addition to commission meetings, he is a member of the county’s 911 Committee, the Shiawassee Council on Aging board, the economic board and a member of the county’s mental health board. Gary, since his original election, has also declined receiving the health insurance that is offered to all members. Over the years of service, this has resulted in a significant saving to the county taxpayers.

Cindy Garber is finishing her first term on the commission. This will be her second term. She has gained much useful experience as a board member and wishes to continue serving people. She represents District 6, made up of Bennington and Sciota townships and the city of Laingsburg and Owosso (precincts 6-1). During her term as a first-time commissioner, she was appointed as a member of the Pleasant View hospital board. She is also a board member of Bennington Township, having served as the treasurer and tax assessor.
