Editor, The Independent:
Parade entries are sought for the Lennon Lions Homecoming. Do you have legs or something with wheels? Can you walk, ride or do you have a float? Then we invite you to be a part of our July 18 parade.
As “Lions” our theme is “We Serve.” However, we invite you to be creative and present an appropriate display. Some of the things we’re looking for include: organizations, businesses, churches and individuals. Ideas include, but are not limited to: musical groups, 4–H, Scouts, military units and vehicles, clowns, decorated bicycles, floats, FFA, tractors and any other idea you come up with!
Line up will be at 10 a.m. at the closed Doyle Knight School in Lennon. The parade begins at 11 a.m., going through Lennon and ending at Lions Park. Call Mary or Doug at (989) 634-8263 for more information and reservations.
After the parade join us at Lions Park for our many festivities. Thank you and hope to see there!
