I was in attendance last evening (Thursday, Oct. 13) at the Rush Township meeting in Henderson. I am the Director of Project Development from Apex Clean Energy, the company proposing the wind project discussed. I had met with your writer, Jessica Hickey, a few weeks ago and discussed the project.
I’d like to thank you for covering the meeting last night and I look forward to reading the article. The last article that Hickey wrote about our project was fair and impartial and I want you to know that I appreciate that.
Last evening there was a lot of information thrown around the room. Much of that information being offered by the gentleman from Clinton County was simply not factual. I’ve seen your level of professionalism and I’m sure you will look into his comments and vet them thoroughly. By the way, I also hope you do the same with my comments. Please feel free to contact me if you need any clarification.
I was reflecting back on last night’s meeting while watching a political add on TV this morning and all I could think of was that we are offering what every politician is promising – a very real economic opportunity. These opportunities don’t appear very often in rural areas and I hope that everyone sees what’s in front of them.
Again, thank you for your coverage and your professionalism.
