On Friday, Sept. 28, the Mid Michigan Old Gas Tractor Association (MMOGTA) hosted its 12th annual Rural Living Education Day program, with 600 4th-grade students participating from Christ Lutheran School of Oakley and the Chesaning, Durand, Merrill, Millington, Owosso, and St. Charles school systems.
This program was put on at no cost to the schools or students and included a free lunch served to all involved. It is through the generous donations of time, money, food and supplies made by our MMOGTA members, local businesses and other individuals that we are able to keep this program free to the schools.
We want to thank the following for their continued support and sponsorship: American Speedy Print; Aunt Millie’s Bakery; Burton Corners Mobil Gas; Carts R Us; Chesaning Sales – Ace Hardware; Coffield Oil Company; D’s Party Store; Designs by Bean; Ed Rehmann & Sons; Elaine’s Too Quilt Shop – Elaine Matznick; Family Tavern; Frank’s Supermarket; Gordon Veale Family; Gordon’s Food Co-Op – Linda Gross; Green Meadow Farms; Greenstone Farm Credit; and Heritage Tire.
Also Home Specialist Builders – Rod Lab; Indian Café; LAFCU; Lloyd Miller & Sons; M-13 Storage; McKenzie Agency; Michigan Pork Producers; Owosso Tractor Parts; Pennington Farm Drainage; R. F. Engines; Reliable Aftermarket Parts; S & K Farm and Yard; Saginaw Castle Museum; Saginaw County Farm Bureau; Sheridan Realty & Auction – Troy Croweo; Slingerland Chrysler Dodge Jeep; Sloan Septic; Sovis Insurance Agency; Steiner Tractor Parts; Stoddard’s Mobile Court & Sales; The Argus-Press – Steve Marowski; and The Independent Newsgroup – Graham Sturgeon.
As well as Tim’s Trophies; Ziola Construction; the FFA students from Chesaning, New Lothrop and Ovid-Elsie high schools; and our many family members, friends and neighbors who are not members of our organization but volunteer their time to help with this program. Last but not least, we want to thank the MMOGTA membership for their hard work and dedication in putting this program on.
Rural Living Education Day would not be the continued success that it is without the support we receive from each and every one of you!
