LONGTIME DURAND City Council member Deb Doyle was reelected on Monday, Nov. 19 to serve as Durand mayor for 2019 and 2020. Doyle, who has been on the Durand City Council for 31 years and was first elected mayor in 2001, noted that she appreciates the confidence her fellow council members have shown in reelecting her as mayor.

Doyle has always encouraged her fellow council members to continue to educate themselves as municipal leaders, and as the sponsor of the Tim Doyle Scholarship for continuing education of council members, Doyle has benefited municipal leaders throughout the state of Michigan.
