THE 30TH ANNUAL Durand End of Summer Cruisin’ Car Show took place in Durand on Saturday, Aug. 31, with 309 registered vehicles taking part in this year’s car show. This year’s event featured vendors, who packed the 100 block of W. Clinton Street, along with Butch Patrick – AKA Eddie Munster – with his Munster and Dracula tribute cars.

   The Best in Show award was presented to Jim Crummer of Freeland for his 1964 Ford Galaxy and the Rat Rod award in memory of Bob Steele was presented to John and Holly Marshall for their 1946 Chevrolet Rat Rob. Forty Top 40 trophies were also handed out, and the top finishers in the new car division were Rick Schriner with his 2019 Dodge Challenger 50th Anniversary Hurts Heritage GSS in 1st-place and Gerald Childs with his 2017 Chevrolet Corvette in 2nd-place.
