The Durand High School Destination Imagination team has decided to devote its 2016 humanitarian efforts to helping victims of the Flint Water Crisis with their service project. In an effort to help children affected by the Flint Water Crisis, the group is hosting the Flint Children’s Benefit Gala Friday, April 1 at Durand Union Station. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Flint Child Health and Developmental Fund.

The benefit gala will be a Black Tie affair, with tickets priced at $60, or $425 for a table of eight. Social hour begins at 6 p.m. and dinner is to follow, starting at 7 p.m., with a dinner buffet and a main course of roasted lemon chicken. There will also be a silent auction, live entertainment, and dancing.
