APPROXIMATELY 350 PASSENGERS boarded Pere Marquette Locomotive 1225 in Alma Saturday morning, Oct. 28 for their Curwood Highlander day-trip to Owosso. Upon de-boarding the 1225 early in the afternoon, the visitors toured Owosso, spending the afternoon shopping and touring many of the city’s unique landmarks, such as The Armory, Curwood Castle, the Shiawassee Art Center, Mitchell Amphitheater, Comstock Cabin, Fountain Park, and the Woodard Paymaster Building. As well as the Lebowsky Center, Owosso City Hall, the Owosso Wall of Fame, and of course, the Steam Railroading Institute. Many arrived just in time to catch the tail end of the Downtown Owosso Farmers Market.
