THE CURWOOD DOG of the Year contest was held Saturday, June 6. Entrants could enter five different categories: obedience, dog bone toss, best trick, obstacle course and dog owner look alike. The five winners from those categories are the candidates for Dog of the Year and are chosen by the crowd. Taylor Spielman, 6 ½ years old of Owosso, and her 10-month old Golden Doodle, Obi, won 1st place in the Dog Owner Look Alike contest and was then chosen as 2015 Dog of the Year.
