THE FIRST ANNUAL CORUNNA High School FCCLA Spring Craft and Art Show was held at the high school Saturday, April 30. Corunna’s Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA), is a student organization and the event was held to raise funds for the Cavs Closet project at CHS. The show was open to the public from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. with many people attending.
“I think we had an amazing vendor turn out and we’re excited to grow next year,” said Amy Murphy of Corunna Schools. “We raised money for an excellent cause, plus it was a student-driven and themed event. It was a great leadership opportunity for the students.”
Fifty artisans and crafters participated in this first show; offering baked goods, handmade soaps, jewelry, household décor, crocheted products, floral arrangements and more. Independent contractors representing assorted businesses also attended. (Independent Photos/Karen Mead-Elford)
