CORUNNA HIGH SCHOOL teacher Dave Harrison and his Construction Trades II students are in the process of building a few storage sheds, and they will be making the sheds available to community residents and business owners. Harrison strives to provide his students with a well-rounded education, and by working with residents and business owners, the students will be learning communication, marketability and business plan preparation skills that are closely associated with the construction trades industry, but not often taught by instructors.
The sheds will be either eight feet by eight feet or eight feet by 10 feet in size, and look similar to the above photo, which shows a shed constructed by a previous Construction Trades class. The client must supply all materials and the transportation of the built shed once completed. Anyone interested in employing the Corunna High School Building Trades II students in building a shed can contact Dave Harrison at dharrison@corunna.k12.mi.us.
