THE OWOSSO SKYLINE has changed over the last few days as construction continues at the new Cargill Inc. facility on the western edge of Owosso. Exterior lighting is being worked on, illuminating the otherwise dark landscape behind Covenent Eyes on W. King Street. The lighting can now be viewed from quite some distance away, bringing to mind decades ago when the old Owosso Sugar Beet factory was lit up at night.

According to Santiago Inzunza, Cargill plant manager, the facility should be operational either at the end or March or first of April. The train spur on the western side of the property has now been completed.

Cargill provides food, agriculture, financial, and industrial products on an international level.
