The Community Christian Singles of Shiawassee County will hold a Potpourri event at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 13 at the Caledonia Township Hall, 135 N. State Rd. in Owosso. Organizers call the event “A special night with singles sharing with singles.” Various questions and solutions on a variety of topics will be discussed. The group will then break into small groups to be a support and encouragement to one another.
And then at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday, July 29 is a Canoe/Kayak/Dinner event. Participants will paddle through the beautiful scenery and see nature at its best during a trip down the Chippewa River. It is advised that participants bring a change of clothes. Upon returning from the trip, there will be a stop made in Mt. Pleasant for dinner. The meeting point is across Elm St. from McDonalds in Owosso at 12:15 p.m. Canoe rental is $19.50 and a kayak is $22. Contact Joyce at (989) 277-4520 to reserve a spot.
