LEADER OF MEN – Retired Corunna High School Wrestling Coach Dave Robertson will be inducted into the Michigan Wrestling Association Hall of Fame Friday, Nov. 6, on the strength of his 636-134-5 career record.
Robertson, who stepped away from the program in 2011, coached 16 district champions, 24 league champs (including 17 straight from 1994 through 2010), eight individual state champions, 139 state qualifiers and 72 state medalists during his 34 years as coach.
He and his wife of 39 years, Aileen, both retired from teaching at Corunna in July 2014 and still reside in Shiawassee County. The induction ceremony will be at the Sheraton Hotel near Detroit Metro Airport. (Courtesy Photo)
