OWOSSO FIRE CAPTAIN STEVE CHAPKO presented the 2017 Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign t-shirts to city council on Monday, Oct. 2. The bright pink shirts are part of the City of Owosso Firefighters kick-off to raise money for breast cancer awareness during October. The shirts may be purchased for $15 each at Owosso Public Safety on S. Water Street.
Over the previous three campaigns, the firefighters have raised over $3,400 with all proceeds going to support Memorial Healthcare’s Cancer Center.
Director of Public Safety, Kevin Lenkart, took a moment to express his gratitude to the firefighters for “going above and beyond.”
