The Owosso City Council has approved the bid of $121,719 for this year’s double-chip seal program, in line with comments of councilmembers last spring telling City Manager Don Crawford to get streets sealed to prolong their useful life. Crawford had been proposing “slurry sealing,” slightly less costly and what had been done a few years ago on Oliver west of Shiawassee, but which developed problems in a few years.
