Michael Bruff is announcing his candidacy for the Shiawassee Board of Commissioners, District 1. This district includes Owosso Township, Fairfield Township, Rush Township, Middlebury Township, and the northwest quarter of the City of Owosso 1-1.

Bruff was born and raised in Owosso and has served in various governmental capacities in the city such as: the City Planning Commission, Owosso City Council, and as the Mayor of Owosso. He is a member of the American Legion Family, Knights of Columbus, and the Elks.

As a real estate agent, involved and concerned citizen, and supporter of local businesses, Bruff says he realizes the essential need for a strong, vibrant, and productive county which can be assisted through fiscally responsible decisions made at the county level.

Bruff’s pledge to his district and the entire county is, “To listen to the concerns of the citizens and represent them to the best of my ability without favoritism or bias. My intent is to serve the county without alternative goals or aspirations and if elected, I will be honored to represent the needs of his district and the county as a whole.”
