The Owosso Community Players production of “The Boys Next Door” will hold auditions at 7 p.m. Nov. 10 and 11 at the Lebowsky Center, 122 E. Main (M-21), downtown Owosso.
This comedy-drama follows four intellectually disabled men with different levels of disability who live together in a small apartment, and their caring social worker. While it may seem that this play would lean towards the dramatic, it’s actually a story filled with very funny moments providing a humorous commentary on their lives and how they interact with the rest of the world.
Featured roles are available for men and women ages 30 through 60. First-timers as well as veteran actors are encouraged to attend.
“The Boys Next Door” is being directed by Anna Owens, Linda Keenan and Charlie Keenan, and will have six performances at the Lebowsky Center: Jan. 15, 16, 17, 22, 23, 24. Tickets are $15 for adults; $13.50 for seniors/student; $7.50 for children and available online at owossoplayers.com and at the Box Office, (989) 723-4003.
