A UNIQUE CHILDREN’S CLOTHING STORE is opening soon on S. Washington St., in Owosso, where Bellingar Specialty Meats was previously located. Blossom Boutique will open before the holiday shopping season kicks off and will be the first kid’s only clothing-line store in downtown Owosso in quite some time. Corey and Bobbi Fuller are the owners and operators of the new Owosso business that will include clothing for children from infant through size 12 in an assortment of casual to dress.
The Fullers have two children of their own, and were early on inspired to possibly begin a business oriented around cloth diapers, since that was an item they were in need of, but were unable to find locally. Many creative ideas came from the initial cloth diaper concept, though the couple both knew that cloth diapers was definitely something they hoped to offer. It became apparent to them that they needed to open a children’s clothing store.
“Why not bring people into the area for shopping, instead of just online?” Bobbi explained the premise for her business with a question.
Besides clothing and cloth diapers, the business will also have a line of custom accessories and hair-bands. However, perhaps the most unique convenience to be offered will be an area called a nursing nook for breastfeeding mothers to relax and have some privacy with their child when in downtown Owosso.
