The Owosso City Council has given permission for the Owosso Bike Fest, sought by Rick Morris on behalf of the Westown Corridor Improvement Authority, for use of the parking lot and alley on the north side of the 800 block of W. Main (M-21), 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 9.
Also during the Monday, July 20, meeting, the council gave permission for the Gilbert Street Block Party, as requested by Jaimi Redmond. She asked for the approval on behalf of the Gilbert Street block party group for use of Gilbert Street from Oliver Street to Queen Street, 2 to 11 p.m. Aug. 29.
