BIG ROCK AMUSEMENTS has returned to Durand Railroad Days for the second straight year, and again offered free rides to children from 6 to 8 a.m. on the morning of the festival’s opening day, Thursday, May 17. Originally from the Chesaning area, Big Rock Amusements provides carnival rides, games and food, featuring such rides as the 80-foot tall Giant Ferris Wheel, the 105-foot tall Airflyer Swing Tower, Bumper Cars, the Zipper, the Himalaya, the Carousel, NASCAR Speedway, Ring of Fire, the Bear, and Dragon Wagon Fun slide, among others.

Quite a few youngsters came out to sample the Big Rock Amusements rides on Thursday morning, including Parker and Harper, both Bertha Neal Elementary School students, who can be seen enjoying the Yo Yo swings.
