The Owosso building was purchased last summer by Vince and Dawn Gonyou and Troy and Annie Crowe. “Our hopes were to strip the building and return it to somewhat of what it might have looked like years ago, similar to Freddie’s,” stated Vince. The partners named the building Grace Squared LLC after their daughters who share the name Grace.
During the renovation, Mike Bellingar, agreed to rent the building for his business, Bellingar Specialty Meats, with the goal of opening a meat market before the end of 2015. Mike also owns Bellingar Packing in Ashley.
“We are happy to have Bellingar Specialty Meats in our downtown community; this is something we believe our community has needed for quite sometime… an old school meat market,” Gonyou said.
The new store has both front and rear facing entrances with parking included in the city lot directly behind the building. Open Monday through Friday until 7 p.m. and Saturday until 5 p.m., Bellingar Specialty Meats is also open on Sunday in downtown Owosso from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. For more information, call (989) 723-8891.
