The Shiawassee Arts Center will be offering a Basic Italic Calligraphy workshop with Barb Holmer, Artist/Instructor on Friday, Oct. 21, from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Calligraphy adds a special touch to every correspondence. This workshop will begin with a demonstration of basic calligraphy techniques and then students will try their hand at writing their name and a message in calligraphy with a broad nib marker or pen. All materials are provided for class.
The class fee is $30 for a SAC member or $35 for a non-member. A $5 material fee is due at registration. Preregistration and payment required by calling (989) 723-8354. Students who already have calligraphy markers, pens, nibs and ink are welcome to bring them. The Arts Center is located at 206 Curwood Castle Dr., in Owosso.
