On Tuesday, May 17 Owosso Public Safety Officers investigated a burglary at the Kiwanis baseball fields on Jerome Street. The Independent Newsgroup put up a post on Facebook to try and help the group locate the perpetrator.

During the original burglary, unknown suspect(s) broke into the concession stand and stole an unknown quantity of food. Within a few days of the incident, Owosso Detectives were able to identify and locate a suspect to the burglary. The suspect was contacted and implicated himself in the theft of the property. The Shiawassee County Prosecutor’s Office reviewed the case and issued a warrant for Breaking and Entering to Alex Spach, a 17 year old resident of Owosso. Spach was arrested on the warrant and lodged at the Shiawassee County Jail on May 27.
