THE FIRST ANNUAL PUMPKIN PARTY and Cookout was held in Bancroft on Saturday, Oct. 14, as seen in the above photo. Over fifty area children participated in the new event in celebration of the creation of a community garden in the village. The new garden is the result of a great deal of hard work and volunteerism by community members and local businesses.
Due to the pouring rain, the event was moved into the community building where children enjoyed decorating pumpkins, eating hot dogs, and just having a good time. People of all ages participated in the pumpkin party and festivities.
