JUNE’S “Put Your Best Face Forward” award was presented Saturday, June 13, to PS Food Mart/Subway, on the southeast corner of M-52 and Lansing Road on Perry’s north side. As a second time winner of the merchant award, store manager Michelle Brimley (right) was again praised for the outstanding overall appearance of the 24-hour convenience store, which makes it a point of pride for people as they enter the City of Perry, noted Mayor Pro-tem Tom Chaput (center). Brimley also noted that the local garden club does a wonderful job as caretakers for the floral displays.
While listening to the compliments, Subway employee Sheryl Kozan (left) said she was proud to be part of the team that helped earn the award. Judging of “Put Your Best Face Forward” is based on overall appearance, clean sidewalks and windows, window presentation, flower displays (weeded/watered) and absence of trash.
As this month’s winner, PS Food Mart/Subway earned the right to display the traveling trophy in the business for one month. (Courtesy Photo)
