The United Methodist Women of Owosso’s First United Methodist Church is holding their annual Fall Sale on Thursday and Friday, Oct. 20 and 21. Doors will open at 9 a.m. sharp each day, with Thursday hours extended until 6 p.m. to accommodate working shoppers. Friday features the popular $2-per-bag sale, and hours run from 9 a.m. to noon. Shoppers should park and enter the church from the north parking lot, located at 1500 N. Water Street.

The annual sale includes a variety of gently-used items, including clothing for men, women and children; household items (cookware and dishes), electronics and sports gear; linens; decorative and holiday items; books, games and puzzles for all ages and interests; vinyl records, CDs and DVDs; craft supplies, jewelry and lots of miscellaneous items. The popular Boutique Room features vintage items, finer clothing, and unique items.

The United Methodist Women seek to turn faith, hope and love into action on behalf of women, children, and youth. Proceeds from the sale are used to support mission projects in our community and around the world. Locally, UMW has supported a variety of organizations aligned with our mission, including the Salvation Army, Hospice, Respite, and SafeCenter, as well as adopting a family for Christmas. Globally, UMW helps support missionaries around the world and promotes programs that provide training, education and employment opportunities for women.
