The seventh voting meeting for the 100+ Women Who Care – Greater Durand Area will be at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19 at the Durand First United Methodist Church, located at 10016 E. Newburg Rd., Durand.
This is a group of women who are interested in supporting the local community of the greater Durand area – including Durand, Byron, Bancroft, Lennon, Gaines and Vernon – by contributing to local organizations together, as a unit, to increase the impact of their donation. Members are encouraged to nominate their favorite 501(c)(3) organization – three names are drawn from a hat at the beginning of each meeting – to “pitch” their organization to the group. Members cast their votes and the lucky recipient is announced at the meeting.
